Welcome to Colombo!! Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, has a long history which reflects in its its architecture, mixing colonial buildings with high-rises and shopping malls. Upon arrival, meet our representative who will take you straight to Pinnawala Orphanage. The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was established by the Sri Lankan Department of Wildlife Conservation for feeding and providing care and sanctuary to orphaned baby elephants that were found in the wild. Then, proceed to Mawanella spice garden. A guide will take you through rows of cinnamon, pandan leaves, allspice, vanilla, and other spice plants--you'll also have a chance to learn about each plant's physical characteristics, gastronomical, and medicinal value. Later, proceed to Kandy. Check into the hotel. In the evening, enjoy the Kandy cultural dance show. Overnight stay at the hotel.
