Welcome to Phnom Penh a city that retains its traditional Khmer and colonial styles with French villas and tree-lined sidewalk. On arrival, meet our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Start your first day at Cambodia by visiting the impressive Royal Palace to give you an insight into the history of the country. The Silver pagodas which houses the Emerald Buddha and a bizarre structure which was gift by Napoleon to the Cambodian King are all part of the complex. Learn interesting facts about them before stopping at the Independence Monument and the National museum; that contains more than 5000 art antiques. Walk up to the Wat Phnom (a Hill Temple) from where Phnom Penh got its name. In the evening stroll, down to the Central Market where hawkers are peddling everything from jewelry, to electronics and food. This is the best place to get a feel of the local culture. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
