Shimla was built on seven hills: Inverarm Hill, Observatory Hill, Prospect Hill, Summer Hill, Bantony Hill, Elysium Hill, and Jakhoo Hill. Shimla's highest point is Jakhoo Hill, which stands at 2,454 meters (8,051 ft). Shimla, as the summer capital of British India, has some of the finest architectural heritage bestowed upon it, not to mention the various splendors of nature, such as forests, waterfalls, and glades.

As you arrive in Shimla, check into the hotel and have the whole day to yourself. You are free to relax in the hotel room or go and explore the local shops and eateries here and there.

You can spend an evening shopping from the Mall Road and participating in some interesting cultural activities on the Ridge with the mountains as a backdrop.
