Set off on the drive to Pelling right after breakfast. Stop by to gaze at the lovely Temi tea plantations. But it’s only a taster, before you pull up in front of the daunting 45 feet statue of Lord Buddha at Samdruptse Temple. After breakfast, your sightseeing tour begins at the small and scenic Darap village. Close by are a surfeit of tourist delights, starting at the well-manicured Rock Gardens. Move onto the gushing Rimbi and Khanchendzonga Falls. Also check out Khecheolpari Lake. Later in the day, explore Pemayangtse Monastery and the surrounding relics of Rabdentse. 4am departure to witness the sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga. Stop at the dreamy Ghoom Monastery and the romantic Batasia Loop while returning. After breakfast, head to Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Tenzing Rock, landmarks of mountaineering. PN Zoological Park thrills too, with unique animal species. Tibetan Self-Help Center holds special significance for immigrating Tibetans. Enjoy the views from the Ropeway and Darjeeling’s Tea Gardens, before an uplifting visit to Peace Pagoda. Return for dinner. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
A final breakfast marks the end of your trip. Bid goodbye as you depart for Bagdodra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station to get on your way home.
