A penal settlement during the colonial era, Andamans have conveniently traded that image for one of sunshine and serenity. India’s furthest outpost, 1000 kms off the east coast in the Bay of Bengal, Andamans share in some of the eye catching traits of South East Asian tropical hotspots. Miles of unspoiled beaches, well-preserved sights of colonial past and relics from pre-historic settlements make Andamans a great exhibition of tourist delights.
