ITINERARY
DAY 1
  • Guwahati Airport / Rly Station – Kaziranga National Park (220 kms / Approx 5 hrs)

    On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station meet our representative and head straight to Kaziranga National Park, the home of “One Horned Rhinoceros”. On arrival check in to your hotel. Kaziranga - a world heritage site, also boasts the highest density of tigers among the protected areas in the world and was then declared a Tiger Reserve. Evening relax at the hotel or visit the tea gardens and coffee plantations or you can enjoy a cultural show of folk dances in the resort at an extra cost. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kaziranga.

DAY 2

    Kaziranga National Park

    Wake up early to the peaceful morning bliss and enjoy Elephant Safari in any one of Kaziranga National Park zones. Apart from the Rhino, one can spot other species as Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants and if you are lucky, one can even spot tigers. It is also home to pelicans, storks and darters. Return to the resort for breakfast and relax & unwind till the afternoon. Later, enjoy jeep safari through the National Park and experience the nature at its best. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kaziranga.

DAY 3

    Kaziranga – Majuli (97 kms/ Approx 2 hrs. drive, 1 ½ hrs. Ferry Ride)

    After scrumptious breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for Majuli, a wondrous river island nestled between the mighty Brahmaputra River’s ever-shifting sandbanks, Majuli is the world’s largest deltaic island. Initially be driven upto Nimatighat and then cross mighty Brahmaputra River by local ferry to reach Majuli. Arrive and check in the traditionally built cottages. In the afternoon explore Majuli, visiting Dakhinpat Satra which is considered to be a home for dances and the birth place of Vaishnavite culture in Assam. Also visit the Missing tribal villages. The Missing community is very rich in culture and have different folk dances and instruments which are played during different occasions and festivals. The language spoken amongst the Missing community is also known as Missing and belong to the Indo-Tibetan group of languages. In the evening visit nearby sand beach in Brahmaputra to witness the beautiful sunset. Overnight stay at the hotel in Majuli.

DAY 4

    Majuli – Jorhat (1 ½ hrs. Ferry Ride 20 kms 1 hr. drive)

    After a delightful breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit the Pottery village and Mask making village. The masks of Majuli have uniqueness and are made of clay, bamboo, cloth etc. Despite the size of the masks, these are quite light in weight and are made on all the characters of the Mahabharata, Ramayana, and Puranas. Later in the day get transferred to Nimatighat by crossing the mighty Brahmaputra river by ferry. Upon arrival, get driven to Jorhat and check in to the hotel. Famous for its culture, mosques, tombs, gardens and most importantly - its tea plantations, Jorhat is also known as the tea capital of India. Later in the evening take a stroll around the nearby places on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel in Jorhat.

DAY 5

    Jorhat – Guwahati (306 kms / Approx 7 hrs)

    After enjoying your breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Tea-Garden & local market. Later drive to Guwahati and check in at hotel. Guwahati is considered to be the gateway to north east and also the second largest tea producing region in the world. So don’t forget to buy some refreshing tea from the varied range of products. In the evening visit 'Kalakshetra', a place where Assamese history and culture is presented through Light and sound show. Return to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Guwahati.

DAY 6

    Guwahati Local Sightseeing

    After breakfast, visit Kamakhya Temple which is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya. It is considered most sacred and oldest of the 51 Shakti Peethas on earth. Also visit Tirupati Balaji Temple, Navagraha Temple which is dedicated to nine planetary gods. Also visit Assam State Museum, State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, Regional Science Centre and Sukreswar Temple which The 6th Jyotirlinga of Shiva. Afternoon we suggest an optional tour of Golden sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra (by own). Overnight stay at the hotel in Guwahati.

DAY 7

    Departure

    After a delightful breakfast, check out from hotel & transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station to board the flight to your home town. Tour ends with beautiful memories!
