Arrive in Kathmandu and assistance is at hand to help you transfer to the hotel. Time to form some first impressions of this historical metropolis, which is in fact made of two separate cities, namely Patan and Kathmandu. Familiarise yourself with the city meet some locals before heading back to the hotel. A delectable dinner ends the first day. Overnight at Hotel
After breakfast, visit the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the Hinduism’s most venerated shrines. The stupa at Boudhanath, up next, holds a similar importance for Nepali Buddhists. Lalitpur, too, wears its heritage on its sleeve, with streets packed with ancient memorabilia. Patan takes it further, touted to have more monuments per square metre than Kathmandu. The day concludes at the magnificent Swayambhu Stupa, which also offers a perfect 180 degree view of Kathmandu valley. Overnight stay at the hotel.
With breakfast done, pack up and leave for Pokhara, which is about 210 kms from Kathmandu. Arrive at the rarefied heights of Pokhara and check-in to hotel. En route, if you choose, you can take a break for river rafting , or to visit Manakamna Temple, which is just a 9 minute cable ride away. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Begin Day 4 with breakfast. Head to Bindebasini Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga and built by the Kaski Kings. The temple provides an uninterrupted view of the Himalayas. Sample the bazaar next door. When you’re done exploring the Pokhara town square, head to Devi’s Fall or Patale Chango, just 2 kms from Pokhara. Close by is the Gupteshwar cave, which packs in some surreal limestone formations. Unfortunately, no photography is allowed. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Return to Kathmandu after breakfast. Check-in to hotel and take the day off to indulge in some leisurely activities. You could go shopping, or try your luck at one of Kathmandu’s famous casinos. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Morning after breakfast remains free, till it’s time to head to the Airport to catch your flight home.
