Welcome to Kutch, where for the next few days you can feel your soul and spirit fly. Every year the arid desert of Kutch is transformed with bright colorful tents, the sound of song and dance in the air, and a melee of visitors. Though it’s the spectacular white sand Rann that is on everyone’s must visit list but what they ultimately take back is the warmth of the people, the camaraderie and the culture of Gujarat.
Itinerary
Day Plan
Bhuj the city which is the start point of your adventures in Kutch. From here you are driven to Dhordo, the tent city. After check in formalities relax in your tent for a while before heading for lunch. Enjoy the afternoon within the tent city where there is a small handicraft market and a cultural zone. After evening refreshments proceed to the White Rann. You can do this either on a camel cart (the traditional local way) or the local bus on your own. This is the place to see one of the most surreal sunsets. Imagine a vast expanse of white sand reflecting the changing hues of orange and gold as the sun sets in the horizon and that’s not all, hold your breath as you see the moon rise almost simultaneously. (Best experienced during full moon nights) It couldn’t get more spectacular than that. We suggest spending some time enjoying the silent night in the desert before making your way back to the tents. At night enjoy some traditional local fare with a cultural show.
