Welcome to Hanoi – Vietnam! The tour guide & driver will be ready to welcome you at Noi Bai Airport & drive you to your hotel. After check-in at hotel we start our city tour from the Temple of Literature, the 1st university in Vietnam, dedicated to the Chinese philosopher Confucius..The ancient complex is both a temple and an academy and is one of the most famous attractions the city has to offer. We then continue to Ba Dinh Square - the biggest square in Hanoi and the venue for all big cultural & political events of the city. Here you can take photos of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where the embalmed body of the first president of North Vietnam and the leader of the struggle for national liberation lies. Later take a “cyclo” tour which starts from the Old Quarter of Hanoi, stop at Ngoc Son Temple located on the Hoan Kiem Lake (the “Sword” Lake). Overnight stay at a hotel in Hanoi.
After breakfast we leave for a 90 km drive south of Hanoi to Ninh Binh, the site of one of the capital cities of ancient Vietnam before Hanoi took its leading role in the 11th century. The area has a beutiful landscape and is famous for the Tam Coc Caves and Hoa Lu, another ancient capital with old temples dedicated to King Dinh & King Le who reigned in the 10th century. The visit to Ninh Binh starts by a boat trip in Tam Coc where spectacular limestone karsts jut out from the green paddy fields, which is why it is also famous as the “Halong Bay On Land”. We the continue towards the site that used to be the kings’ palace and is now famous for the wooden reliefs in the Dinh and Le temples. Late afternoon back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Today after breakfast,check out and leave for Halong Bay at 8 am,. We head east for around 3 hours to Halong Bay, the pride of the Gulf of Tonkin, a Natural World Heritage as designated by UNESCO in 1994. The road will pass by the Red River delta with green paddy fields and villages, where hard-work farmers are busy at work. Upon arrival in Halong, we take a boat to cruise the Bay and discover the magnificent beauty of this “Descending-Dragon” bay, created by thousands of odd-shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes. After a lunch of fresh seafood on board, we can visit the Surprising Grotto, stop for swimming or kayaking or view the floating villages at close proximity. Back to the boat for dinner . Later take part in activities on the boat or relax. Overnight on the boat near Titov Beach.
After breakfast, visit by boat to Luon Cave, a ring-shaped pool on an island in Ha Long with absolutely tranquil landscape and emerald water. Back to the Wharf of Ha Long passing the many islands with exotic names such as Cock-Fighting Rock, Sail Island, Incense Burner Rock or Sea Dog Rock. Arrive at Ha Long Wharf around 11.00. Return to Hanoi around 4 pm. Rest of the day free.Overnight stay at a hotel in Hanoi.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board the return flight with lots of memories to share with your family and friends.
